Dr. Lauren Young is a board-certified neurologic clinical specialist and the founder of NeuroElite Physical Therapy. She built NeuroElite PT to give people with neurologic conditions the time, one-on-one attention, and specialized expertise that meaningful recovery requires.
Dr. Young has extensive experience treating individuals with stroke and other complex neurologic conditions, with particular expertise in spasticity management, spinal cord injury, and custom wheelchair evaluations.
Before opening NeuroElite PT, she served as core faculty in a hybrid, accelerated Doctor of Physical Therapy program, teaching clinical neuroscience and human anatomy to future physical therapists. Today she also teaches continuing education courses for physical therapists nationwide, so the care you receive reflects the same standard she teaches other clinicians.
"What does NCS mean?"
NCS stands for Neurologic Clinical Specialist, a board certification awarded by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. To earn it, a physical therapist must complete extensive clinical practice in neurologic rehabilitation and pass a rigorous specialty examination.
For you, it means your care is guided by advanced training in conditions of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves, not general orthopedic or sports rehab.
